At Scarola Law, we believe planning is essential for people of all ages, regardless of wealth, family status, or current health. It gives you the opportunity to make decisions about many of the most important issues in your life and the people you love--from naming a guardian for your child to appointing someone to carry out your wishes with respect to your health and finances. We use a holistic approach to estate planning and take the time to truly listen and find out what’s important to you, then tailor your estate plan specifically to your circumstances and goals. We will help you plan for the unexpected so your wishes are known and your loved ones are protected through an estate plan.

MEET COLLEEN SCAROLA, ESQ.
In 2016, I founded Scarola Law driven by the goal of ensuring everyone can have access to quality estate planning services. As a mother, wife, and sister, I know how important it is to ensure your family is taken care of in all aspects of life, including the legal ones. That’s why I have dedicated my career to educating and assisting families with estate planning. My experience as a former caregiver to my late mother has given me insight into the importance of being prepared for life’s unpredictable events. Estate planning allows me to draw upon my prior legal experience and my long-time commitment to helping and educating others.
We moved to Castle Rock in 2013 and immediately fell in love with all Colorado has to offer. I embraced my new community and sought out opportunities to become involved. I previously served as a volunteer attorney for Castle Rock Teen Court, a community-based, juvenile intervention/prevention program that offers an alternative to the juvenile justice system. I am a member of multiple bar associations including the Colorado Bar Association (CBA), the Douglas County Bar Association, as well as the Solo and Small Firm, and Trust & Estates sections of the CBA. In addition, I have served on the board of Denver Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association (“Denver MAMA”), an organization devoted to furthering the interests of mother attorneys in the Denver Metro area as well as am an active member of Colorado Women Owned Law Firms (“W.O.L.F.”)

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my husband, daughter, and son, and taking advantage of all that beautiful Colorado has to offer!

MEET LAURIE MACLEOD
I have lived in Castle Rock for many years and love the close-knit community. I’m grateful to have raised my boys here. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, skiing — anything that gets me outdoors in this beautiful state.
At the firm, I assist clients with scheduling their appointments, notarizing estate planning
documents, answering questions, and helping things run smoothly. My background includes work at a fiduciary firm and a local law office, giving me a solid foundation in estate-related matters. I enjoy being part of a team that helps clients plan with confidence.

MEET KATIEWAGNER
I graduated from University of Denver Sturm College of Law in May 2024 and will take the Colorado bar exam the February 2025. I first worked at Scarola Law in the summer of 2022 and fell in love with the practice and the clients. I have always enjoyed helping people and estate planning has turned out to be a perfect avenue for me to do so.
I am very close with my family and love spending time with them when I can. I am a triplet with another younger sibling as well, so I understand how important it can be to plan for the future of your family and be ready to take on unexpected surprises.
In my free time, I love to hike, play Ultimate Frisbee, and try new restaurants with my boyfriend Kevin.
