PROTECTING YOUR Legacy

Our clients are the best part of our job. We want to learn about your family, your goals, and your wishes. This is not just a “transaction”. We strive to build long lasting relationships with our clients.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At Scarola Law, we believe planning is essential for people of all ages, regardless of wealth, family status, or current health. It gives you the opportunity to make decisions about many of the most important issues in your life and the people you love--from naming a guardian for your child to appointing someone to carry out your wishes with respect to your health and finances. We use a holistic approach to estate planning and take the time to truly listen and find out what’s important to you, then tailor your estate plan specifically to your circumstances and goals. We will help you plan for the unexpected so your wishes are known and your loved ones are protected through an estate plan.

MEET COLLEEN SCAROLA, ESQ.

I graduated from The John Marshall Law School in 2006 and have more than a decade of legal experience representing individuals and businesses. As a mother and a wife, a sister, and a former caregiver to my late mother, I particularly enjoy working with families with young children and those caring for aging parents.  I know how difficult it can be to balance our many responsibilities and plan for the future. Estate planning and probate and trust administration allow me to draw upon my prior legal experience and my long-time commitment to helping and educating others.

We moved to Castle Rock in 2013 and immediately fell in love with all Colorado has to offer. I embraced my new community and sought out opportunities to become involved. I previously served as a volunteer attorney for Castle Rock Teen Court, a community-based, juvenile intervention/prevention program that offers an alternative to the juvenile justice system. I am a member of multiple bar associations including the Colorado Bar Association (CBA), the Douglas County Bar Association, as well as the Solo and Small Firm, and Trust & Estates sections of the CBA. In addition, I serve on the board of Denver Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association (“Denver MAMA”), an organization devoted to furthering the interests of mother attorneys in the Denver Metro area as well as am an active member of Colorado Women Owned Law Firms (“W.O.L.F.”)

MEET EMILY BENNETT, ESQ.

I graduated from The University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2021 and worked with the firm as an intern before being hired on after graduation as an associate attorney. I held various internships throughout law school in diverse areas such as corporate law, alternative dispute resolution, cannabis law, and employment law before ultimately finding my passion in estate planning. As a soon-to-be-wife and current dog mom, I particularly enjoy working with families.

I moved to Colorado in 2018 from Texas and now reside in Littleton.  I previously served as the president of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund while in law school. I am a member of multiple bar associations including the Colorado Bar Association (CBA), the Arapohoe County Bar Association, as well as the Solo and Small Firm, and Trust & Estates sections of the CBA. In addition, I serve on the board of the Porter Billups Leadership Academy, an organization devoted to assisting at-risk students with academic and leadership potential to successfully graduate from high school and have the opportunity to attend college.
